Inspiration: Zacatecas, Mexico

My friend, Annie Hurlbut, is the co-founder and creative force behind Peruvian Connection. Founded in 1976, the company's tag line is aptly penned as "artisian apparel for nomads and romantics."

While the flagship store is located in Washington DC, there are locations in Kansas City, Santa Fe and Manchester, Vermont. Pervuvian Connection is also in Henley-on-Thames in England.

All original and crafted by hand, I love the beautiful products they offer. I'm also inspired by the wonderful destinations they select as the backdrop for their collections. For Fall 2010, you are transported to Colonial Mexico. The architecture, antiques, clothing and over-all styling in this video are breathtaking. Have a look for yourself!

Loving This Chair....

So this is a recent purchase from fellow antique dealers, Gwen McClure and Teri Elliot (French By Design). They snagged this on their travels to France and it caught my eye the moment it hit the showroom floor. Not only is it oversized and comfortable, the colors and textures are soothing to the eye. But don't look for this piece at Prize anytime soon as it has found a new home at the Rogers!

This script on the bottom of the chair - original and almost too sad you never see it.

Love the gray and white paint and simple ticking fabric.

Simple nail heads and a bit of understated detail to the frame.
